Endurance Land Complete Green Lease At The Bailey, London EC4 To Willmott Dixon
Endurance Land announce the letting of the first floor of The Bailey, London, EC4 to Willmott Dixon Interiors, the interior fit-out and design specialist of Willmott Dixon, one of the UK’s largest construction and property companies.
The Grade II listed building, which has a BREEAM Excellent rating, a Wired Score Platinum rating and an EPC of A, is owned by the Nan Fung Group and has been developed by Endurance Land following the formation of their strategic partnership in late 2018.
Willmott Dixon Interiors has taken a 10 year lease at the building and will occupy the building in Q4 2022 once their team complete the fit-out. They will join the multinational media agency, IPG Mediabrands, at the building. Mediabrands pre-let the Lower Ground and 2nd to 8th floors of the scheme.
As part of Endurance Land’s Sustainability policy, Willmott Dixon Interiors’ lease contains a number of ‘green lease’ clauses and in addition both parties have signed a memorandum of understanding with the aim of further improving sustainability, reducing carbon emissions and improving building performance. Willmott Dixon as a group has set a target to be a zero carbon business by 2030, with all projects completed from that year onwards being net zero in operation.
Henry MacInnes, director, Endurance Land said,
“We are delighted to welcome Willmott Dixon to The Bailey and look forward to building an excellent partnership with them. We are particularly pleased to have signed a tenant who shares our goal of continuous sustainability improvements.”
Kevin Potts, Commercial Director, Willmott Dixon Interiors, said,
“We have been located nearby on Farringdon Street for twenty years, so taking office space at The Bailey represents an exciting new chapter for Willmott Dixon Interiors as we plan our next stage of growth. With our focus on net zero, we are particularly delighted with the ‘green lease’ commitments which underline our commitment to be a leader for sustainable development in the built environment.”
